This stylish wireless music system won an innovation award back in 2004. It allows you to stream music from your PC or Mac wirelessly. You just plug it into your amplifier or receiver and you can listen through your existing stereo system. They offer a hardwired option as well in the form of an Ethernet port. It supports a wide variety of formats including WMA, MP3, AAC, AIFF and WAV. It also supports a variety of music software including iTunes, Windows Media Player 10 and Rhapsody.
The display offers a choice of four music visualizers and you can browse your music collection by album, artist or genre. The Soundbridge packs a 400MHz Blackfin DSP backed up by 16MB of DRAM memory. Beyond Wi-Fi and RJ-45 (Ethernet) it also has an S/PDIF coaxial digital output, an optical Toslink output and a stereo RCA to minijack connector. It comes with a remote control and you can order one for well under the RRP of $200. It may have more competition nowadays but the Roku Soundbridge is still a quality product.
