Buffalo’s 144Mbps Nfiniti Wireless Router

Posted February 4th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

This new product coming from Buffalo seems to be very satisfactory. It is using the standard IEEE 802.11n and is capable of 144Mbps. The Buffalo Nfiniti supports an SPI firewall and intrusion detection, which watches Internet ports for hacker activity. The device supports Gigabit Ethernet for wired connections. This router is more powerful than others from its category. The performance obtained by Nfiniti could be increased by the powerful antenna technology. However, you should know that the great bandwidth is provided only in close proximity. Don’t expect to get high speeds when the range is bigger. The device is retailing for $110 in online shops.
