Can’t call myself a big fan of SE handsets but this time they managed to get into my heart with their XPERIA X1 model. It’s not only the metal finishing body that charms or the full QWERTY keyboard and the slider because from what I’ve heard it packs some Windows Mobile goodies.

Though speculations were that this smartphone will run on Windows Mobile 6.5 or a pre 7.0 version, the official thing is Windows Mobile 6.1. I know it’s a bit disappointing but
hey, it has GPS, HSDPA, a 3 megapixel camera, a 3-inch VGA display doing 800 x 480, a Qualcomm 7200A processor at 528 Mhz, has 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is supposed to be available late this year and I would really want to get my hands on one and review it for you guys. Will keep you posted.
