With it being Earth Week, I wanted to take time to look at a gadget. Today we are going to look at something that will make you rethink about how you take care of your lawn. The Husqvarna’s Automower will make you completely change your habits. This mower is a powered, zero-emissions lawn-Roomba. Long gone are the long afternoons of pushing a gas powered mower.

The Automower will move along your lawn all on its own. This is done after installing a low laying or buried wire perimeter which act as the boundaries for the mower. After setting your desired grass length into the Automower, it will mow your lawn to that length on a regular basis. One of the benefits of grass being cut on a frequent basis is that the clippings can be used as mulch, the unit has the function to then dispense these onto the lawn during future cuts. Since the mower is solar powered it will charge on sunny days. With a 10 hour charge, the Automower will be able to mow up to a quarter of an acre. Upon running low, the mower will makes its way back to the charging station automatically. One of the best things about the Automower is that the noise is much quieter than a conventional mower. The Husqvarna Automower weighs in at around 22 pounds and will cost around $3,000.

Solar Bra

To all ladies reading, you might as well forget about Victoria Secret because Triumph International is in the house! This daring manufacturer from Japan has designed probably the most useless piece of clothes ever: the .

The Bra generates electricity and can display small messages because it is wired to a mini electric bulletin board. That’s not a joke and it gets even better. The bra padding can be used to store water or vodka or whiskey and to drink it by using a straw that you insert inserted into the cup.

If there are any thoughts running through your mind about pollution or the ozone layer, you must breathe easier now because the brasseries is made of organic cloth (cotton grown without fertilizers and pesticides) only.

Now for you boys, enjoy the pictures and fantasize about it, if you can.

DIY Pizza Box Solar Oven

Solar Pizza Oven

This is a made that was built using a box, black construction paper, aluminum foil, tape and glue. You can get all these materials for just a few bucks and the result is an oven that uses sunlight to heat up to 150 degrees F. Though it may take twice as long as a classic oven it won’t cost anything to operate and it’s totally “”.

I’m not sure if you use it just to make your food warm or if you can really cook, because if you can I don’t want to be the guy to clean it up when the meal is ready. Here are detailed instructions on how to build it yourself.

The Solar Trees in Vienna, At The MAK Museum

British designer Ross Lovegrove is in charge with creating the trees in in front of the MAK Museum, which will be inaugurated on October 8th at 20:30. The trees will be a color spot in a grey urban environment that will attract anyone passing by and will make us aware of the greener future we need.Ross Lovegrove worked with Artemide an Italian lightning company and Sharp to develop his trees, in order to have them done before the Vienna Design Week event starts on October 8th. Though I enjoy the pictures very much I can’t help to ask what’s the time frame to produce a tree, what is the price and who will offer maintenance, because it could get damaged by cars for example. What do you think?
