Posted Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 by simon

This features a sleek black design with a splash of red and the power of this machine is one reason it’s not the smallest of notebooks. It weighs around 4.8 pounds and the dimensions are 1.5×12.7×9.5 inches so it is still very portable. It packs a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 320 GB hard drive, a DVD re-writer and an integrated GMX4500 graphics card.

The screen is 13.3 inches and offers a clear picture and sharp contrast although it doesn’t have a particularly wide viewing angle. There is also a built in 1.3 Megapixel webcam and plenty of connectivity options with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ports for HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Microphone, Headphones a 7-in-1 media card reader and of course 3 USBs. This is a fairly powerful with a decent battery life and a slick visual design. It costs around $1,299.

Samsung Ultra-light Notebook X360 kills the Air

Posted Monday, September 1st, 2008 by TechGeek

The new ultra-light introduced by at IFA 2008 has captured the press attention. It received a lot of buzz around the blogosphere and I must agree that x360 is a MacBook killer. Unless you are an Apple fan, you will agree with me too…

First of all, the new x360 is lighter than Air – 2.9 pounds(1.27kg) instead of 3.0 pounds, as weights. Secondly, it does better with connectivity, including 3 USB ports, 7-in-1 card reader, LAN port, VGA port, as well as HDMI connection. To notice more differences, the marvel comes with either 64GB/128GB solid state drive or 120GB (5400rpm SATA). It also features the super-fast wireless 802.11 n standard and the battery lasts longer, up to 10 hours.

Like Apple’s thin star, the new x360 sports a 13.3″ WXGA LED screen (1280×800), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 1.3 megapixel camera. It is powered by an Centrino 2 Ultra Low Voltage processor with an efficient power consumption standard. Besides, the computing needs are enhanced by the DDR3 memory with up to 4GB.

All in all, I would vote for the x360 in a competition with . Even the price wasn’t officially announced, everybody speculated it would range around $2,000. The x360 will enter the market this month in Europe, Russia, China and Hong Kong. No further details were given.

Check the video link below to see more details of x360.

I have been pleased to hear that is currently developing an eco-friendly . The manufacturer tries to make 50% of its parts recyclable. That’s an amazing aim considering all that junk materials used in the production process.

Asus Ecobook

The called Ecobook has a bamboo chassis. That we can tell for sure, but neither of the specs were disclosed by the producer. It may use an Core Duo 2 processor. Although we have a photo, the product could look different after many other revisions.
