NEC MultiSync P221W LCD Monitor

Posted Friday, January 2nd, 2009 by simon

This is a 22 inch from NEC with a range of features. The main target for this release is professionals for whom color is absolutely critical and on that note it covers around 96% of Adobe RGB. In addition it offers a resolution of 1680×1050, has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and a 16 millisecond response time. The SPVA LCD technology allows a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees with minimal color shift.

There is an ergonomic four way stand which allows you to tilt and rotate the monitor to the perfect position. It has analog and digital input signal and an optional soundbar. In addition there is an ECO mode for people concerned about their carbon footprint. The monitor comes with a three year warranty and for professionals who require this level of color range and brightness it seems a good option. It will cost you around $640 to get your hands on one of these.
