8 Megapixel Cameraphone - LG KC780

Posted Thursday, October 9th, 2008 by Alex Ion

A new 8 megapixel cameraphone has been spotted in the wild, and is dubbed LG KC780. Given the specs the new KC780 has I would have expected to be nicknamed, but who cares when you get a 13.9mm thick phone that packs a 2.7-inch LCD and incredibly smart Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens.

Actually talking about the camera, it’s the most interesting thing in the whole phone. With Face Detection technology, Beauty Mode that will digitally smooth blemishes and built-in image stabilization the new LG KC780 is probably going to shoot images really nice up to ISO 1600 (it does have a tiny flash over there) and videos at 640 x 480.

One of the most intriguing things (that I honestly didn’t expect) is that the new LG KC780 can act as a wireless Bluetooth webcam for a PC. We’re waiting for a price and a release date because nothing “leaked” yet. - via Engadget

LG LX600 Lotus arrives at Sprint

Posted Thursday, September 11th, 2008 by TechGeek

Designed by Christian Siriano, LG LX600 Lotus seems to be one of the most beautiful phones I’ve seen lately. The Lotus comes in luxurious colors such as purple with embossed flowers or satin black. At the first glance, the handset is targeted to female consumers, but I won’t mind to own a black version.

Check the list of features:

  • QWERTY keyboard
  • EV-DO support
  • Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • dedicated music buttons
  • microSD card slot that supports up to 12GB of additional storage
  • productivity tools and e-mail support
  • One Click home screen
  • access to Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store

This stylish phone can do many things. It sports a 65k colors external display and a 2.4 inches internal display supporting 262k colors. It’s perfect for watching Sprint TV or your favorite videos stored on the microSD card. The innovation comes from the One Click interface which allows users to place up to eight shortcuts onto the main screen.

The LG LX600 Lotus will be out in October at price of $149.99 with a two-year contract.

LG Flatron W2252TE

LG is proud to announce that they have built what could be the most energy efficient monitor. Flatron W2252TE is a 22-inch screen that features a 1689 x 1050 resolution, sports 10,000:1 contrast ratios, 2ms response, 170 degree viewing angle and a 250cd/m2 brightness rating. What’s interesting about it, is that it only uses (roughly) 40W, which is 45% than most of the monitors on the market. Unfortunately we don’t he a price for the new LG Flatron W2252TE and all we know is that it should be available in the UK from August this year.

Posted Friday, February 22nd, 2008 by Alex Ion

LG R300 is the newest R-series laptop from LG that was quietly introduced these days and upgrades the older E300. It’s a lightweight notebook with a 13.3-inch display that is supposed to be based on Intel’s 45 nm Penryn technology and runs on a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor. What makes it extremely fast is not only the processor but also the 3GB RAM memory that boosts performances.

LG R300 has a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce graphic card, features 802.11 n Wireless and Bluetooth, has a 1.3 megapixel webcam and will be sold in Germany for about $2,350. Rumors say that it will hit North America with a lower price, only $1,599.
