The end of HD DVD won’t hurt Xbox 360

Posted Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 by Alex Ion

Xbox 360 won’t suffer from HD DVD war

Now that Toshiba has finally ditched the HD DVD format in an official statement saying that “it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders” this should have impact on some businesses. However, Microsoft announced today that its Xbox 360 game console won’t suffer any material impact.

I find it hard to believe, but Microsoft enforced our thoughts saying that Xbox 360 customers would continue to be able to consume high-definition movies, television programs, and DVDs they already own on the Xbox 360 HD DVD player.

Lets see it done, now that Blu-ray is gonna become king and then we’ll talk.

Wii Accessories for Fanatics

Posted Friday, January 11th, 2008 by Mihnea Boiangiu

I declared myself a fan once, and I am saying right now. I love Nintendo Wii, no matter what people are saying about the graphics. To be fair, I don’t appreciate too much their games for graphics, but I like the interactivity of the console. But let’s stay with the headline.

Wii Accesories for Sports

I have discovered a website that sells Wii accessories. You know, guns, combat kits, gloves, racer steering wheel, pool sticks. This collection is amazing and there is more to come. CTA Digital announced they began the shipments of these crazy accessories for retail stores.

However, I don’t have any idea about pricing. Obviously, if you’re a fanatic the price will be a detail.

Recently some therapists have recommended the game console for their patients. Also some hospitals used Wii to help people recovering from strokes and spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries. The game increases coordination and also help patients to gain strength. Furthermore Nintendo’s Wii Fit game is also expected for launch in US. By using a Balance Board, the player can perform moves specific to sport games like soccer, ski, aerobics and even yoga.

The bad news comes from the stores, whose shelves are currently empty. So if you intend to buy one for Christmas, you should start looking from now.
