As announced today, the world’s thinnest notebook is now shipping. MacBook Air, which measures 0.16-inches at its thinnest point and 0.76-inches at the maximum height, has a starting price of $1,799. Pre-orders were available since Steve Jobs presented at MacWorld 2008. It is available through ’s online store, ’s retail stores and Authorized Resellers. The top version could go over $3,000, depending on optional features.

Today has landed in Europe, more exactly in and in . Although many fans have come for the big launch, Europeans were not so enthusiast as Americans. Some shoppers formed cues in front of the retail stores. By 5 p.m., Deutsche Telekom AG, which owns , announced they sold more than 10,000 iPhones in . The British carrier , doesn’t want to disclose the exact number of the sales for this Friday.
