Memorex is releasing a new TravelCard family of flash memory cards. Patented technology, the Imation-developed Dual Interface cards, supports both SD and USB connectivity for the most popular file formats. The Memorex SD and MMC formats will be available with 512Mb, 1Gb or 2Gb storage capabilities without the need of using card readers when trying to move data from them.
The Memorex SD plus USB Dual-Interface will be available from the second quarter of 2007 but the other TravelCards (SD, SD High Speed, SD High Capacity, Mini SD, Micro SD, MMC Micro) are already live on the market, as they say “at market-competitive prices”.
About the Ultra TravelDrive launch for USB portable hard drives with 2.5″ width, will have capabilities of about 160Gb, and will be available this quarter in almost all consumer electronics retailers with prices of $129.99 (80Gb), $149.99 (120Gb), $199.99 (160Gb). It has a very nice ergonomic design, easy to carry with a double-injected black rubbered grip area, so there are no chances to lose it from your hands.
