So long Dell Axim PDA

Posted April 10th, 2007 by Alex Ion

dell handheldSome time before we told you about Axim X51 and the fact that it was featured on the Dell website. Well it looks like it’s time to call it “so long Dell Axim”. Nobody cares though that the 2 years old device and the latest in the Axim class is no longer on the website, while spokeswoman Anne Camden said it stopped being available. You thought I was joking when I said nobody cares, well you should know that Dell doesn’t even have future plans for it.

Why they stopped is obvious: the market for PDAs is stagnating with people opting more and more for smartphones. Maybe the new Axim series should be turned into a smartphone division, but who cares?
