SanDisk Introduces New Mp3 Players
Posted January 9th, 2007 by Marius TrusculescuApparently the wireless enabled fashion for mp3 players is beginning to gain more supporters as SanDisk announced today a new product with a feature like this. To counter Microsoft’s Zune SanDisk brought the Sansa Connect. Through a wireless module the mp3 player can connect to other similar players and even on the internet to facilitate buying tracks without the need of a computer. The 2.2″ color display can be used for watching videos or pictures from the 4GB of flash memory it has, but music listening is still the main function as you can listen even to internet radio stations. A card slot will allow you to expand the storage capacity for this device if the provided internal memory proves to be too small for your likes. If you chose to buy the Sansa Connect you will have to pay $249.99 to benefit from all the above features and more.

The 8GB Sansa View is a wide screen player designed especially for allowing better picture viewing and better video playback. Benefiting from a 4″ screen, the products preloaded memory comes with full-length movies, short films, video clips, music and photos. There is also a mini SD slot for easy installing more memory on this device. With the price set at $299.9 I can really see this product as a tough competitor for Apple’s iPod line, but the MacWorld is yet to come and who knows what new products will Steve Jobs introduce.
The last mp3 player I will cover is the SanDisk Sansa Express. The $59.99 device has 1GB of storage and comes with a mini SD slot, too. There is an Fm tuner included for radio listening and even a microphone for voice recording. An OLED display will provide the minimum functionalities required by the Sansa Express.
