RUMOR : first details on Microsoft Zune 2.0 bring two versions

Posted April 12th, 2007 by Alex Ion

Microsoft Zune 2.0 rumorAccording to an editor on Zune Scene that says he met with a Microsoft employee in charge of Zune, Microsoft is preparing two new versions of their well known PMP. Both will be thinner one with a bigger hard disk and the other one flash-based and 6mm thick that should be “better than the competition”. They will continue having the functions Zune models have nowadays and we suggest them to drop DRM and would be fine. Rumors say the display is wider, the flash based version has Wi-Fi and the clamshell opens harder than what’s on the market now.
The plan is to built 2.4 million pieces before the holiday season of 2007, in a new building in China just near the Xbox 360 fabrication process. These are the details and we’re waiting now for the real thing. (picture copyright : Gizmodo) - ALEX ION
