The Gmini 500 is one of the new media players that tries to impress with a great amount of functions and a larger than average display. As new video content is getting more an more important on portables it is clear that people want larger displays but without losing the mobility by getting an increase in sizes of the devices. Manufacturers have dealt with this by trying to push the buttons out of the screen’s ways closer to the edges. The Gmini 500 does exactly the same thing managing to clear 4″ for the LCD Display offering a resolution of 480×272.

The other features are pretty much similar with the ones of its competitors offering 30 GB, respectively 40 GB of storage for your music, photos and videos. The device also benefits from a built-in speaker and a built-in microphone that facilitates recording audio files. The Gmini 500 has also the option of playing the media files on an exterior device like a TV or a home entertainment unit using the supplied audio/video cables.
