The Axim X51 new handheld from Dell meant for the persons who always want to stay in touch with their bussines. The device draws its power from an Intel processor clocked at 640 MHz, aided by 64 MB of SDRAM and 256 MB of flash memory. An Intel 2700G multimedia accelerator, having 16 Mb of internal memory, offers as much as 65,000 colors at 480×640 screen resolution on a 3.5″ touch sensitive LCD display.

The device supports the Wireless 801.2 b standard, Bluetooth connectivity and also benefits from an Infrared port. Expansion slots are available for those who want to expand the internal memory of the device using flash based memory cards.

The software preloaded on the handheld consists of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with Media Player 10 Mobile, Mobile Office suite, an internet browser, a calculator, an instant messaging software and many more applications.

I really like this device, but in my opinion it could be improved by adding a digital camera and maybe GSM capabilities. Nonetheless, the product is great as it costs only 499 US Dollars and rebates or discounts may lower the price even more.
