Sony HD OLED 9mm-thick Displays are Live

Sony is trying to kill their competitors and maybe some of us that sit here and slobber when seeing the pictures with the new OLED displays being demonstrated this week during the Display 2007 Expo from Japan. They are really unmannered, or like Gizmodo is calling them, really obscene, if you think that the 9mm thick displays, offer 1080p resolutions with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratios. They also have something even thinner, the 3mm thick which is not High Def, capping out at 1,024×600.

OLED displays have a few things in front of LCD displays and they are less power consumption and much brighter imaging. I am waiting to see more on the market about the OLED displays because I think we have a new turn in the market.
