Hitachi Wooo series HD TVs

Five new true 1080p models from Hitachi Japan will hit the market. It’s the Wooo line-up of HD TVs, the first in the world to support iVDR (Information Versatile Disk for Removable Usage) disks. The disks are portable hard drives with up to 250GB of space and the TVs have both analog and digital TV tuners to record your favorite sports game while watching soap opera with your lovely girlfriend.
I will tell you a little a little about two models we’ve heard of. The Hitachi Wooo 50-inch HD plasma P50-XR01 model has 1,100cd/m2 brightness with 10,000:1 contrast ratio while the 37-inch L37-XR01 HD plasma has 500cd/m2 and 7,000:1. Both have SD and MMC card readers, HDMI ports (3) and two D4. Hitachi will release the new full HD plasma TVs, in the Wooo series, from April 20 in Japan and the iVDR hard drives will cost $170 for the 80GB and $300 for the 160GB model.
