Asus PG 221 is the monitor for serious gamers

Posted March 16th, 2007 by Alex Ion

For those serious gamers that need their monitor to have them all the new Asus PG 221 is the perfect solution. It has a 22-inch monitor with a built-in 2.1 audio system and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. The new PG 221 monitor with 1000:1 contrast is extremely powerful and brings 1680 x 1050 resolutions, has 3 USB connectors and touch sensitive controls not to forget about the 300cd/m2 brightness. Don’t expect to much from the sound though, because it cannot compete with a real pack of speakers but we should stick to the fact that it’s a monitor and too many vibrations may harm.

Asus PG 221 has lots of inputs including S-Video, DVI, D-Sub and of course a microphone slot. I wonder how it would work with the new Asus Xonar D2X. No release date and no price tag yet.
