Plustek OpticBook 3600 - Smart Scanner

Posted February 12th, 2007 by Alex Ion

Not sure if all of you had money during school to buy your books that you needed for each course and for each exam. I wasn’t one of them and I had to go to the copy center near my university and get the book copied. It looks like Plustek has a smart way of doing things. They’ve launched a new scanner, OpticBook 3600, which is smart enough to make from your tome a very nice e-book that you can have it right on your computer, with really nice fonts.

There is however another reason for which you will enjoy the new OpticBook 3600: it will not hurt the spine of the book you are scanning thanks to the new ridge on the machine. It will not make your book large so it will not be damaged in any way. As a plus thanks to the SEE Technology (Shadow Elimination Element) the page lies flat on the scanner so there is very clear text. Depending on the book’s thickness it takes from one hour to four hours to scan it and have it electronically stored. All these are reasons to pay 245 Euros for the new Plustek OpticBook 3600
