This is a flatbed color image scanner with a maximum resolution of 12,800 x 12,800 dpi. It is capable of creating high quality photo enlargements from film with 6,400 dpi and the built-in transparency unit makes it easy to scan slides, negatives and medium format film. The Easy Photo Fix can restore faded photos and the Digital Ice technology can remove dust particles and also scratches from your images. It features 48-bit color and the energy efficient LED light allows fast scanning with reduced power consumption.
There is a package of handy software bundled with the scanner including Adobe PhotoShop Elements 4 and you can hook it up to your PC or Mac via the high speed USB cable supplied. You can scan to application, PDF, email and copy at the touch of a button and there are plenty of options to satisfy both casual and professional users. The scanner costs around $200.
