WorkForce 310: Review

Posted June 14th, 2009 by vernons

Over the last couple of years Epson have sent me numerous printers, I always enjoy reviewing Epson printers because they offer a great variety of printers at a great cost.

The latest printer that I received is the WorkForce 310. The WorkForce 310 is the WorkForce 600 little brother. Being its little brother it has lost a couple of features that you should be aware of.

These features include the following:

  • No USB connectivity for direct camera access.
  • No memory card slots
  • No 802.11g WiFi connectivity – this would be one real reason to upgrade to the WorkForce 600.

So what are the great features of this printer you may be asking!

  • Printer Smudge, fade and water resistant documents. – I tried a number of different types of paper and Epson does a good job here.
  • Print, Copy, Scan, Fax, Network.
  • Get 2x more prints with 2 black cartridges. – This is a nice perk!
  • Built-in Ethernet with wireless networking capability.
  • Up to 2x faster in laser quality text – This printer is actually super fast and if you tend to print a ton its a great option.
  • 30-page Auto Document Feeder – This I feel is pretty standard at the moment.

So who is this printer aimed at? This printer I would recommend for the normal home user who prints occasionally. The printer costs $129.99 and we think it offers you great value. Epson do a really good job when it comes to printers and this printer is no exception.
