Room for Windows Phone 7?

The mobile phone market lately seems to be discussed as though it is a battle between Android and iPhone. Of course there are a few other operating systems out there and Microsoft is keen to get back into the race with Windows Mobile 7. This completely revamped mobile operating system is being aimed at smart phones with touchscreens and Microsoft has made sure the software can integrate all the streams of information that seem to have now become essential for many people. This means integrated email, messaging, pictures, music, video and connections with social media websites all easily accessed through widgets or virtual buttons.
Microsoft’s position in the smartphone market has been in decline and since they don’t produce their own hardware competing with Apple and Google could be tough. However Microsoft has apparently considered and rejected the idea of getting into mobile phone hardware and instead has vowed to work more closely with the top manufacturers such as Sony Ericsson, Samsung and LG.
