New Treo 750
Posted January 8th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu
In the very first day of the Consumers Electronic Show (CES) Cingular and Treo announced the availability of the new Treo 750 smartphone starting form tomorrow in stores all over the country. Featuring a full QWERTY and a 240×240 touch screen, the phone has a built-in 1.3 Mp camera as well. The 60 MB of internal memory can be extended for a maximum of 2Gb using the mini SD card slot. Bluetooth connectivity is included but the major downsize is the lack of a WiFi module just like for Moto Q.
As for the software, the phone has the Microsoft operating system, Windows Mobile v5.0, which will include also applications for Office files (Word, Excel etc), internet browsing and a version of Windows Media Player.
The obvious target audience is the business market and the pricing is set for $500 for a two year contract. A $100 mail in rebate was also announced which led to a final price of $400.
