According to a joint announcement made by the two telecommunications giants you will have the opportunity to admire the slim smartphone on the shelves of Sprint stores all over USA. The declaration also states they will begin the online sell (on www.sprint.com) later this month but stores will have to wait for the device until mid-February.
Being one of the thinest smartphone on the market Moto Q received great reviews when it was released last year. Capitalizing on the success of the RAZR line, Motorola’s effort to build the slimmest smartphone led to a wider than average device. But this proved to be not a drawback, but an advantage as the qwerty keyboard and the wider screen offer better functionality than similar solutions of their competitors.
For those of you interested in the technical details I mention the 2.4” screen @ 320×240 (65k colors) color display, 1.3 Mp camera, audio (as in mp3 and other file types) and video playback possibilities, Bluetooth infrared and mini-USB connection modules and 64 MB of built-in memory which can be extended with the aid of a mini SD slot. Regarding the software side you may want to know that besides the OS there is the Windows Media Player,an E-mail client and there is ensured compatibility with Microsoft 2003 Exchange server. The battery is a 1300 mAh LiIon ready to ensure up to 4 hours of talk time or 212 hours of stand-by time.
Although Motorola Q impresses with its multimedia abilities it is intended for those who need to always stay in contact with their work even if they are always on the move. Anyway it is a great gadget to have and this is what we appreciate here at Devicepedia.
