Malware authors trying to exploit Virginia Tech University tragedy

It looks like 32 people dieing is not enough harm done because malware writers have ideas to exploit the situation at the Virginia Tech University to get your online bank accounts informations and your passwords. The malware attack redirects the user to a website that has an image of Cho Seung-Hui the attacker and links on the page. The links redirect to videos in Brazil and they download a screen-saver for you, TERROR_EM_VIRGINIA.SCR, that will install a trojan to get what they initially wanted.
More and more people are using these kind of events for potential spam attacks, phishing, trojans or other kind of computer viruses. Tsunamis in the Indian Ocean, London terrorist attacks or the Katrina Hurricane, more and more malware attackers exploit tragedies and catastrophes for small or big amounts of money out of people’s suffer.
Beware when you are trying to see more about Virginia Tech University because there are so many new registered domains that you could end up on, that may not be safe. - ALEX ION
