iPhone Rumor – battery life just 40 minutes

Posted April 5th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

Apple’s iPhone starts loosing credibility just before the launching. John C. Dvorak told that a guy from Cingular, which is testing the phone said its battery went dead. The worse news is that iPhone doesn’t have a removable battery. So, that’s it?!

“He says the amateur mistake that they made is not having a removable battery,” Dvorak said. “You run 20 minutes and you’re using up half the battery power. You get 40 minutes total talk time. And the interface fouls up constantly.”

I doubt that Apple could make such a mistake. I mean equipping the most expected phone with a cheap battery. This I can’t believe, more I refuse to believe. The rumor could not be true because Dvorak explained: “He’s telling me confidentially and I shouldn’t be telling anybody”. But he told it at TWiT, so anyone could hear it. Thus, I tend to think all this is made up in searching for audience.
