HP Pavilion HDX - notebook for serious gamers
Posted May 7th, 2007 by Alex Ion

There is a Pavilion HDX leaking from HP. This is their first notebook for gamers and it’s going to be pretty serious about what it has inside and outside. The specs would make many thing it’s a desktop and not a notebook, and the 12 pounds weight would make it a certain thing. The screen is 20-inch big and the notebook is so big that it has a full-featured Windows Media Center remote dock and touch sensitive keys.
The new HP Pavilion HDX is not yet official but the leaked informations suggest that it would be powered by Intel Santa Rosa (Core 2 Duo processors) at 2.4GHz and the 2.6GHz for the extreme versions of the notebook. Concerning the video it’s supposed to have Nvidia Geforce Go 8000-series GPU which is indeed really strong and if you think it will have HD DVD and HDMI output man this is a beast.
Don’t expect it on the market too soon because it’s going to take a few months for it to hit the shelves even if Intel Santa Rosa will be released this week. Anyway this is a nice portable machine that I would certainly test a little bit. - ALEX ION
