Droid Takes on iPhone

It looks like the upcoming Motorola Droid phone fancies itself as an iPhone beater. Verizon have launched an anti-iPhone advertising campaign which lists all of things that the iPhone can’t do and points out that the new Droid can. The new smart phone runs Google’s Android 2.0 operating system. The advert is seriously negative though, they just list a bunch of iPhone flaws and don’t even show the new phone.
The list of one-upmanship includes a proper keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, multi-tasking, UI customization, open source development and a replaceable battery. Of course Apple have just announced record profits based largely on soaring iPhone sales and the Droid will hardly be the first smart phone to crown itself an iPhone beater. You can check out the ad at the Droid Does website.
