Update for Nokia N800 brings Skype and more

All those Nokia N800 owners please gather around because we have news. Nokia released a software update for their Internet Table OS 2007 Edition that will keep your phone secure and will bring lots and lots of other goods.
Let me start with the Skype client support. It looks like Nokia N800 owners can now make free Internet Calls to other Skype users or low cost calls to landline or mobile phones all over the world. You will need to access a wireless connection to do that. Nokia didn’t mention anything regarding video on Skype, so we suspect it’s not there yet.
Other things that make this software update so great are : Adobe Flash 9 browser plugin which they say it “improves substantially the media performance when using video streaming services” (I guess YouTube is working fine now), up to 8GB memory card support and a much longer lasting battery. Touch screen sensitiveness has been improved – screen areas with most intensive use are much more efficient now.
A great update from Nokia with OS 2007 edition v. 4.2007.26-8 to include so many things. Kudos!
