Sony-Ericsson W660 W660i Walkman phoneSony-Ericsson always had a great look for their mobile phones and the new 3G W660 Walkman series handset is no exception. Built for music passionates, the W660 features a stylish candybar design and it ships in two colors: Rose Red (admire it in the picture) and Record Black.

An improved storage capacity was achieved by adding a 512 MB Memory Stick Micro which will be delivered together with the mobile phone. According to Sony-Ericsson, the storage was one of the most important factors when designing the mobile phone because “research indicates users are listening to more music than ever before – an average of 4.4 hours a day, according to the latest Sony Ericsson Music Monitor”. Even if the phone has music at its core, the 2 MP (mega-pixel) built-in digital camera recommends the device for photography fans too, or even bloggers who can send a capture picture directly to their blog. You can also record video using the same bult-in camera.
Just like with the Camera Phone Kit IPK-100 presented today for Cyber-shot mobile phones, the Walkman series received an accessory too. It’s the Snap-On Speakers, MPS-75, an external speaker that is powered from the mobile phone and can play your music loudly.

Both the Walkman W660 mobile phone and the MPS-75 external speaker will be available starting the second quarter of the year. However the phone will only be sold in selected countries, while the speaker will be sell globally.
