Samsung X830 review

With a look inspired by the iPod, Samsung X830 is a veritable MP3 player. The 1GB storage is strengthening its position as a music device. Also called Samsung SGH-X830, the phone has a cool slim design. The main theme one could see, is of a music player. Samsung X830 has an innovative flick-knife design. But the its design sacrifices some of the functions. The small dimensions - just 84×30x20mm and 72 grams - are the cause of its weakness. I know is cool to have a little gadget phone, but when it comes about the performance, I would recommend you something else.

The main advantage of Samsung X830 is the 1GB memory. You can store up to 250 songs, but you should know the memory is not expandable. The mobile supports MP3, AAC and WMA audio files, as well as MPEG-4 video files. The 1.3 megapixel camera can shoot photos and record videos. It is EDGE compatible, but there was no place for 3G or Wi-Fi. Regarding the connectivity, Samsung X830 features Bluetooth and USB connection. What I dislike at this phone is the keypad in two columns. But once again, a spectacular slim design needs sacrifices.
The X830 comes in a variety of colors - black, white, orange and pink. In some markets you will find the pink model as Samsung Blush. The name was chosen like a response to LG’s Chocolate. You can check the prices in your local stores, but as I heard in some networks the model is free with monthly contract. The phone usually costs $399.99.
