Posted January 14th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

The competition on the smartphone market is market is beginning to get tougher and tougher as new products appear on the market and even the mighty Apple has joined in. But this is not at all a bad news as it will eventually lead to better products and smaller prices which is a great news for us, the consumers.

E62 is a smartphone made by Nokia and targeted at the business market. For those of you interested, businessmen or just fans, I will enumerate its key features in this article.

The first thing noticeable is the larger than average display (320×240) and a QWERTY keyboard, both added to increase the overall functionality of the product. The built-in memory of 80 MB can be increased by up to 2GB trough a mini SD card inserted in the appropriate slot. Among the pluses of the product I mention the Bluetoth, Infrared and USB connectivity, but a major drawback is a lack of a WiFi connection.

The hardware features of E62 are modest when compared with rivals like Moto Q or the Blackberry, and consequently Nokia markets its software abilities. The Finnish company centered this phone’s market campaign around the idea of emailing and email attachment handling. As a consequence there is support for Microsoft Office file viewing and editing while also including the most common applications like calendar, calculator and instant messaging.

Being a Quad band phone the E62 is available for practically anyone on the planet, so, if you like it, it is probably available for sale in your country.
