Neonode N2 to beat iPhone? NOT!

Posted February 14th, 2007 by Alex Ion

They call it the smallest and you can get a hold of it at the 3GSM Congress 2007 in Barcelona where they have it wrapped in a blanket. If you ask me, that’s not something that would make me buy it, not even the dimensions 47×77x14.7-mm with only 70 grams. I would lose it in my car, I would lose it in my pockets, all in all I wouldn’t be fine having this piece of gadget with me.

They all say they have a goal on beating iPhone. How can they? It’s the features it comes with it: 2-inch touchscreen display with 65k colors, 2 megapixel camera, MiniSD support, quad band GSM and GPRS. However, the new Neonode N2 lacks on WiFi and 3G. Don’t think they will hit US markets and actually I am not sure what markets will they be able to penetrate, because a small case with long life battery is just not enough with today’s smart-phones popping out with great looks and more and more functions.
