HTC P3300 review

Posted December 27th, 2006 by Mihnea Boiangiu

This is a new communicator coming from HTC, after the successful HTC Magician. HTC P3300 is a personal mobile navigator based on the Windows Mobile 5 platform. We found this cellphone very interesting and we try to give you some advices.
The great design and the small size (108 x 58 x 16.8 mm) make HTC P3300 a good choice for mobile fans. The device has an integrated GPS receiver ensuring you know where you are at anytime, in any place. Other features that need to be mentioned here are Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth. Moreover, HTC P3300 has FM radio and supports MP3/AAC files. Its memory can be expanded through the microSD card. The users have the possibility of using Office applications like Word, Excel and Outlook. Furthermore the Tom Tom 6 Navigator application keeps you informed about the maps and directions.
Nevertheless, this phone has some disadvantages. It processor is rather slow. HTC P3300 doesn’t support 3G networks, doesn’t have an infrared port and its camera is very poor. Besides, the trackball doesn’t run smoothly. If you are planning to use this device for audio purposes, you would be disappointed because HTC P3300 doesn’t have a standard audio output. The TFT touchscreen display is vulnerable to scratches, so we recommend you to use a protecting foil.

HTC P3300

To sum up, I would say this communicator has some key advantages like perfect size, shinning display, an integrated GPS receiver, Wi-Fi and EDGE support. Although its processor is kind of slow, this doesn’t affect P3300 functionality. You could be very satisfied with its performance. This mobile can be yours for $599.99.
