Apple and Cisco have announced earlier today they have reached an agreement over the iPhone trade mark. This is a great news Apple's iPhonefor the iPhone fans who were afraid Apple’s product might be delayed due to legal issues.

Details are scarce but the press releases state the both companies will be using the iPhone brand for their products and they “will explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications“. The true sense of this last statement is unclear for the moment and we don’t know what kind of cooperation the two companies have in mind as further details of the agreement are confidential, but rumor has it that Cisco insisted that Apple should add interoperability between the two products.

However, one thing is for sure, the path is now clear for the iPhone release and there are no more obstacles for the much awaited product.
