Even if this clock is just a concept it is still a pretty interesting device and if there will be sufficient demand for it the developers might make it a real product if many customers would want it.
But before seeing if you would want such a gadget let’s see what is the Ambient Clock. Looking at the picture that illustrates this device, there seems to be nothing out of ordinary at this clock. But, if you look attentively you can see that certain hours are emphasized. Well this hours correspond to planned events in your schedule. The Ambient Clock is supposed to connect to your Google Calendar and synchronize the meetings for a certain day and you will be warned of an upcoming event with a change of the background of the clock (from blue to yellow and orange).

I definitely see a future for such a device, but without an estimated price and a full list of features I am still reluctant to the Ambient Clock.
