SeaBob turns you into a sea dolphin

Have you ever wanted to swim like a fish, fast and with all those curves, to feel free? The first question after that answer would be if you have enough money because what I am about to present you is definitely not cheap.
The SeaBob is a mix between a jet-ski and a body-board that you keep tight on your body and steer in the water with speed and grace. Those that designed it live in Stuttgart, Germany and propose us an electric motor that uses Li-Ion accumulators for the propelling system. SeaBob comes in two versions the 2.4kW (3.3HP) that you will be able to drive at 15kmh and the Jet or Cayago VX2 with 3.6kW (5HP) capable of 20kmh. A very nice feature is the safety setting of shutting the motor when you’re below 2.5meters. This however can be changed if you are a professional, to up to 40meters under the water.

Put on your googles, keep your breathing for a few seconds and dive. You steer it with your body weight and with your legs that are like your tail now. If you ask me what’s my favorite gadget so fat this year, this one wins by far. See the demo video and I can bet you will want one.

The price however is something not everyone can afford. Starts from EUR 7,700 for the standard SeaBob RaveJet, EUR 9,400 for the Jet version and the Cayago VX2 is EUR 11,300.

update: The CAYAGO Magnum is a professional model and still under development.
