Bloomingdales introduces the Virtual Mirror

Posted March 21st, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

According to Newlaunches, New York’s most well-known clothing store makes the move to the new technology. Bloomingdales is testing the new Virtual Mirrors produced by IconNicholson. The Virtual Mirror allows the customers to “try” the clothes without having to change. In fact, an image of the chosen clothes is projected in the mirror, so the potential buyer who’s in the range will visualize the outfit.

And that is not all. The image can be forwarded to a webpage, so the friends of the buyer could post their opinions. If the Virtual Mirrors are successful, Bloomingdales plans to introduce them in Tokyo and Las Vegas stores.
