Twinhead Durabook D13RY and D14RY rugged laptops
Posted January 11th, 2007 by Alex Ion

Twinhead launched two new laptops these days. They should be famous because of the magnesium-alloy case which is much stronger than normal plastic, drops and bumps having more success of not destroying it. The LCD is and the hard drive are very well protected from damage or data loss because these Durabook models have anti-shock mounting design. Another advantage of the Durabook models is the spill-resistance design preventing the keyboard, touchpad or other buttons to get liquid inside.
It seems like you are buying yourself, military or adventure equipment (which in fact are built for 810F military standards) we need to assure you that aside the design the new models from Twinhead have something to show from the inside. The Durabook D13RY featuring a 13-inch screen WXGA TFT LCD and a 1.3 megapixel webcam and Durabook D14RY a 14-inch screen with XGA TFT LCD display are both powered by Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors including 60/80/100 GB hard drives, integrated Inte Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Pro/Wireles LAN 3945 ABG (802.11a/b/g) and optional Bluetooth.
Both the D13RY and D14RY Durabook have Windows XP (Professional or Home Edition) but are ready for Windows Vista. No release dates or prices as of now.
