Centrino 2-based Satellite Pro S300, Tecra M10 and Tecra A10, from Toshiba

Posted July 17th, 2008 by Alex Ion

It seems that nowadays the new thing for laptops is to have Centrino 2, with Sony and Toshiba already using them like guns in the hood. Did I say Toshiba? Because these guys have a few models just waiting to get into your homes and on your desks.

 Toshiba Satellite Pro S300

Toshiba Satellite Pro S300, Tecra M10 and A10, and Qosmio X305, F55 and the Cell-based G55. Announced back in June, the Qosmios are not really news, but they are not to be eliminated from our lists of things to purchase, because they’re available at your Best Buy shop, for good prices.

But I am sure that the new $1,299 Satellite Pro S300 is what gamers have been looking for, for some time now. It was made for them. Inside the shiny case lies a 2.4GHz P8600 Core 2 Duo on Centrino 2’s 1066MHz bus and Intel 4500MD integrated graphics powering a 15.4-inch display, as well as sleep-and-charge USB ports and a docking port. Pretty “decent” I must say.

Toshiba also has a business line, dubbed Tecra, that will take $1,399 from your pockets for the M10. There’s also an A10 but we don’t have a price for it yet.

Hail to Toshiba and their slick and very serious laptops.
