Acer AS5517-1643 Laptop

This is a stylish black laptop from Acer with a reasonable range of features and connectivity. There is a 1.6 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core L310 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. Graphics are handled by the ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card. The display is 15.6 inches in the widescreen format and it’s a backlit LED display. There’s also an 8x Super-multi dual layer DVD burner.
It supports Wi-Fi at 802.11b or g, it has a multi-in-1 digital media card reader and built in stereo speakers. There are 2 USB ports and support for high definition audio. The 6 cell battery will give you around 2.5 hours of usage. It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and some other bits and pieces of trial software pre-installed. There is also a touchpad lock. This is fairly basic but it will meet the needs of most people and it costs $449.99.
