Sony recently announced two new additions to its line of projectors with the BRAVIA 3LCD VPL-AW15 and VPL-AW10. Being able of showing 1280 x 720 progressive resolution in both movie playback and gaming, the new products are designed as an alternative to big screen TVs.

As HD is becoming the current standard in video quality, Sony introduced (some) HDMI support for 1080/24p input, but that is transformed at 720p when projected. Support for regular composite and S-video inputs is included and a RS-232 port was also added to increase connectivity options.

Priced at $1,300 and $1,000, the BRAVIA VPL-AW15 and VPL-AW10 will hit the market this June.
