Sharp recently unveiled its biggest LCD TV in production. It is the LCD monster Aquos of 108-inch (274 cm). The LCD TV was presented in Las Vegas at Consumer Electronics Show.

The 108-inch LCD is manufactured at Sharp’s Kameyama Plant, the first in the world using 8th-generation glass substrates. The success of this product is backed by Sharp’s great history in producing LCD screens. In 1988 Sharp’s was the first manufacturer that launched a 14-inch TFT LCD. Furthermore, they were permanently preoccupied of evolving their LCD models. So, in 2004 they launched the 45-inch model, followed in 2005 by 65-inch model. Sharp has been meeting the demand for high image quality by achieving resolution (4096 x 2160 pixel) four times higher than the current HD, the world’s highest contrast ratio (1 million:1) and fast full-motion video response rate (4 msec, 120 Hz).
