Polk Audio SurroundBar360° DVD Home Theater System

If you’re pushed for space and you don’t want the hassle of a series of separate speakers and wires all round the room then you might consider the SurroundBar from Polk Audio. It delivers 5.1 home theater sound from a single 44.5 inch speaker. It doesn’t even need an external subwoofer thanks to the PowerPort Bass Venting system. There is a single 15 foot cable and it is easy to set up.
It has an included DVD player which upscales to 1080i HDMI and it supports Dolby Digital and DTS. You can connect it to your games console, satellite or cable box or even an MP3 player. It supports playback of DVDs, CDs, MP3s and you can view JPEGs. It is sleek and stylish and the only thing really lacking here is a Blu-ray player. The surround sound effect is good but of course there is no substitute for actual rear speakers. It is currently reduced to $449.
