Philips Idea Of A Wireless Audio System

Posted February 9th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

The device I will present today is a sound system meant at streaming your music wireless from a media center to every room of your house. Sounds interesting? I for one was intrigued and I decided I want to know more on this WAS700/05 product.

WAS700/05 Wireless Music Center From Philips

The device’s main purpose is to stream your favorite tunes from the music center to up to 5 remote stations and you can have different songs playing in each room simultaneously. If the 40 GB storage capacity of the wireless music center is not enough for your songs collection you can even have audio streamed from your PC to the remote stations.

A cool feature of this device is the “Music Follow Me” mode in which the songs playing on the system automatically play in the room you are in or in the one you are passing by. A feature that makes me think of Bill Gates mansion and all the tech features it incorporates and this only is enough reason to want to buy this product.
