Philips DCP850 Docking Entertainment System

This portable DVD player from Philips is a real media library. You can enjoy your videos from iPod, DVD and SD card. The madness created around the iPod has led to a series of accessories and portable devices created especially for Apple’s star. iPod is a great gadget, but when it comes to watching videos, the experience is not the best. So, Philips speculated this drawback to create a docking device for enhancing the video experience.
Philips DCP850 features a 8.5″ wide swivel LCD screen, which combined with the Dolby Digital speakers gives you the best portable DVD player. A key advantage for the Philips DCP850 is the price – $199 at Amazon store. It is a very good price, I could say. If you wonder about its capabilities, I will tell you this device is a good choice. It supports almost all media formats and reads DVD, DVD+/-R and DVD+/-RW, (S)VCD. To make your life easier, Philips offers a remote control with this DVD player. A weak point for Philips DCP850 is the battery life – only 2.5 hours. But you can watch a full movie! I almost forgot… The portable media player recharges your iPod while it is in use. I think Philips has focused on the iPod’s success in creating such a device.
