This unusual device from Panasonic could be the answer for people with a mixed movie collection. It is not possible to get all your favourites on Blu-ray yet and there were even some old films that never made the transition from VHS to DVD. With this device you can play all three, videos, DVDs and Blu-rays. It also plays CDs and it even has an SD memory card slot and a USB port. It supports up to 7.1 channel lossless audio and it upconverts all of your old media.
The VIERA cast internet function lets you access YouTube and Amazon Video on Demand amongst other services. It supports full 1080p and has an HDMI port as well as a component port and an Ethernet port. The picture and sound are upgraded on DVD and VHS and this is the main selling point of the device. Your VHS tapes and DVDs will look much better on the HDTV when played through this. It costs around $250.
