LG BD 390

This is an interesting device with wireless capability which plays Blu-ray discs, is capable of upconverting DVDs and can also stream content from your PC or the web. The device provides full 1080p high definition output via an HDMI cable and it has a cinema mode at 24 frames per second. It also supports excellent audio with a Dolby Digital 7.1 analog output and support for TrueHD and DTS-HD.

There is 1GB of built in memory and support for a wireless network at 802.11n standard (it also works with 802.11b or g). You can stream video, music or pictures from your computer and there is built in support for Netflix and a YouTube player. It works quickly and efficiently and with a fast boot up time and almost instant tray opening. It supports a wide range of formats and there are plenty of connectivity options including an Ethernet port in case you don’t have wireless support.

When I decided it was time to get a Blu-ray, I wanted something that could get movies from netflix since we rent from there. I purchased the LG BD 390 Blu-ray Disc Player from Amazon during one of its mark downs or sales or whatever.
