Big screen Plasma and LCD TVs are not the only solution for bringing incredible displays in your living room and projectors are still a tough opponent on the market. After Sony’s last month announcement, BenQ made an anouncement of their new W500 home theater projector.

Compatible with various devices, starting from the old VHS to modern HD players, the new 3 LCD projector provides a bright 1,100 ANSI lumens image and a 5000:1 high contrast ratio. A major advantage of the new device is it’s ability to convert regular images to HD (high definition). According to BenQ the projector has the flawless motion performance and precise color reproduction as its strengths.
