LaserVue L65A90

The monstrous price will be enough to put most people off straight away but while this may cost $7,000 right now it will soon come down in price. This is billed as the world’s first laser powered television by Mitsubishi and it offers twice the color of a standard HDTV. It is also energy efficient, high contrast and simply stunning. Mitsubishi also claim it comes equipped with 3D ready viewing technology.

Apparently this technology is cheaper to manufacture than either LCD or Plasma based televisions. It also uses around one third of the power of a similar sized LCD and only one quarter of a similar sized Plasma. It has a built in HD tuner, 4 HDMI ports and of course it supports full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. There is little argument that is currently way overpriced and this is the first generation release. Give it some time and it may be worth a look for people seeking a new television.
